What: Dress from Sheike. Wedges from Rubi Shoes. Belt from Portmans. Headband from Diva. Cardigan from Glassons. Glasses – an optometrist somewhere.
Where: The final day of my mystery event… I promise I will tell you when I can! And date night with husband.
Why: For a long time I thought Sandra Dee was a made up person that Olivia Newtown John sang about. Turns out, she was a model and an actress in the 50s. Since this dress is kinda 50s in style, that makes us twins. Yes?
I threw this dress into the 30 for 30 because I needed some inspiration on how to wear it in new ways. I always seem to style it the same way – belt and flats. Which gets a little boring considering I wear this dress A LOT.
Basically, I just tried to think of the opposite of what I wore last time. Flats turned into wedges. Hair up turned into hair down and a headband. No glasses meant glasses. Bare arms turned into a cardigan, since it was a little cool today anyway. Belt meant….. well, I still needed a belt. So I chose a different one in a contrasting colour.
I admit its not the most inventive way to create a new outfit, but I like what I found.
I love your outfit .. so lady like and the patterns are adorable!
I was wondering if you are interested in a follow swap!

Your dress is so cute and I adore your belt! Love that you paired black with brown as well. It is one of my favorite color combos.

The dress is adorable! I love it. Have you tried wearing a regular top/sweater over it, using it as a skirt? I’ve seen a lot of that in the remix.
